I am working on a project that uses TI controller to drive an Ebike (assist bike). One of the most critical issue that I am facing is the controller and battery shut down when rider spin fast. The idea of this project is just an assist bike but it has so many smart features than any bike out there.
System shutting down is very easy to reproduce by just spinning fast from bicycle crank set. The internal suggestion is back-EMF is a main cause; however, I disagreed with that.
My question is how TI controller rejecting or react to back-EMF? What is the highest level of Back-EMF allowable?
