DRV8711: microstep factor of 36

I need a microstepping factor of 36 - not 32 or 64. Is there a way to achieve that with the DRV8711? If not, is there another chip that I should use?

Hi Timothy,

If you need a microstep factor that is not a power of 2, you will have to create your own. We have several examples of this.

The DRV8881E is capable by creating your own input half sine wave.

Also, there is an application report www.ti.com/.../slva443 that explains the basic concept.
