DRV2605LEVM-MD: How to operate DRV 2605 LVM-MD

Part Number: DRV2605LEVM-MD

Dear Sirs,

I tried to switch the driver using DRV2605LEVM-MD.

However, it remains driver 1 without switching.
Also the GUI does not work.

Please tell me how to operate using GUI and how to switch driver.

Best Regards,

Y,Hasebe

  • Hey Yoshiki,

I am sorry, but I did not fully understand your question.

Could you tell me where exactly do you run to this problem? Which driver would you like to switch?

Which problem do you have with GUI? With installment? Connecting the board? Or something else?

How to operate the board is explained in the user guide, is there something you have tried but has not worked?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Marko
  • Hello Marko-san,

    Thank  you for your reply.

And I'm sorry  for sending a question with not enough information.

When we launched HapticsControlConsole again via USB connection, we were able to confirm the basic operation.

It seems that the change to the USB communication did not go well.

There is a question after the basic operation is completed.

I would like to consider Overdrve and Breaking, so please tell me what to do with the tool (GUI)

The following screen is displayed in the GUI.

Is it possible to change register settings here?

    Best Regards,

    Y.Hasebe

  • Hello Marko-san,

I will add it to the previous question.
Do you have instructions for Haptics Control Console software?

    Best Regards,
    Y.Hasebe
  • Hey Hasebe-san,

I suppose you did manage to connect the board via USB and GUI, and then that window appeared (careful, you need to choose this board from the drop-down menu in GUI and then click connect, it will also ask you to hold the USER_SW button while doing that. If that does not happen, you are doing something wrong). In that window you can put in all you want, so in the settings section you can choose between LRA and ERM and also closed loop or not (which determine if you are running the an actuator at overdrive and breaking functions). You can also manually write and read the registers.

At the driver section, by selecting or deselecting the check boxes, you can choose which drivers do you wanna run.

We do not have a user guide for the program, normally every EVM has its own user guide, but I haven't found one for this EVM. Although, it is quite straightforward to use, you shouldn't have any problems with it.

What exactly were you trying that did not work?

    Best regards,
    Marko
