Hello Team,
Pls see feedback and follow-up questions below relating to a DRV8842 problem the customer is having.
Regards,

Initial request from the customer:
I have a TI question on the DRV8842. We are sending it a PWM signal at a constant 100kHz switching frequency. We get a variable switching frequency on the output. Seems like the delay time through the chip changes and so there a change in the output switching frequency. I want to know if that is the expected behavior and if there is a way to stop that.
Some Q&A with the customer:
I looked at the device and think you may be seeing a short Over Current Protection or thermal over load condition. Did you verify your transient currents do not exceed the limit? (Yes, there is no Overcurrent or thermal situation )
Is the device getting hot? How close to the 5A limit are you operating the device. (It happens with no current flowing through the device. No load is attached)
Also, could there be a transient on the OCP program pins? Is the devices indicating a fault on the nFAULT pin? (No nFAULT)
