Hello,

I would like to extend my knowledge about the programming of BLDC motor control with the BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM and wonder if there is somewhere source code or a tutorial that does not use InstaSpin controller ICs. I would like to use the Boosterpack with my F28377S Launchpad. It would be great if I do not have to start from scratch.

Is it useful to use examples from older, non-floating point controllers? Under the control suite, for example: HVMotorCtrl + PfcKit_v2.1 -> HVBLDC_Sensorless. However, this project is for a F28035 controller.

My main goal is to generate program code, which I can use on other controllers that do not have InstaSpin in the ROM.

I would be very happy about feedback and tips.

You can refer to the example projects in controlSUITE, there are sensorless BLDC or PMSM example projects based on F2803x or F2833x controller without using instaSPIN ROM. It's no difficult to port this code to F28377S, you only have to write a DRV8305 driver code as DRV8301_SPI.c in \controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV830x-HC-C2-KIT_v105.

Its not that easy looking for an up to date boosterpack while www.ti.com/.../select.page isn't showing them all!?

In any case, there is a detailed example for the DRV8320-Boosterpack without InstaSpin etc.
