Is the thermal pad in the DRV8323S connected to GND, or can I connect it to GND?

Hi Joc,

The thermal pad is not connected to GND. The thermal pad should be connected to either the GND plane or a floating plane for thermal relief.

It is recommended to use the GND plane as shown in Figure 51.
