DRV8320: Separating the power supply from the FET supply

Hi Team,

I am curious if the supply voltage for the DRV8320 can be separated from the supply voltage to the FETs? If so, is there a limit to how far apart these voltages can be?

    Hi Jared,

    It is not recommended to separate the supply voltage of the DRV832x from the supply voltage of the FETs.

    The DRV832x devices are designed for VM and VDRAIN to operate at the same voltage. Separating the two may cause issues with the gate to source voltages and the VDS monitors.
