DRV8843EVM: Motor Not stepping

Part Number: DRV8843EVM

Hi I don't see motor movement when pressing the step button.

the set up is as follows:

scope connected to motor A+ and B+ (only one of the motor phases is being modulated).

Reset/sleep check box's are checked

Motor is connected to J3

motor voltage = 20v.

The current is set to 1 A. the board jumper set to the default.

Did I miss something?

The application provided does not support the DRV8843, is an update available.

Hi James,

Have you checked the control signals at the test points? There have been reports that the control signals can be out of sync with the GUI when initially opened.

Can you clarify your statement "The application provided does not support the DRV8843"?

Hi A tab to select a 8843 is not provided.
Interfacing between the MCU and DRV 8824/8843 differ.

Is there a tab for the DRV8841-43? Can you provide a screen capture of the GUI?

Hi James,

The DRV8841-43 tab should be used to control the either the DRV8841 or DRV8843. If you select this tab, does it work?
