Our project needs to be done in MATLAB / Simulink, so we won’t write code in CCS directly.

We want to use only the FAST estimator firmware like this:

How can we integrate Motorware in MATLAB / Simulink?

How does InstaSPIN_UNIVERSAL.exe communicate with the TMS320F28027F?

It still works with S4 turned down - it works over jtag / XDS100v2 right ?

Could MATLAB / Simulink communicate over JTAG / XDS100v2 with the TMS320F28027F? ... like the universal gui ... get id, iq, torque, speed, angle ... set Ki, Kp and Speed

That would be an acceptable solution.

Hi Marcus,

Simulink/Embedded Coder will communicate with the F28027 via XDS emulator. However, I don't know Motorware, so I don't know if you can view that list of signals or not. Typically if the signals or parameters are in your Simulink model, you can view them via External mode from MathWorks Embedded Coder. If they are not in the model, then I think you would need to do additional work to get them sent out in some way that Simulink can see them; but I cant provide advice on how to actually do this.

The only way you would be able to do this would be to use an InstaSPIN-enabled C2000 device as processor-in-the-loop, calling EST_run() from the device itself. We do not provide any FAST library for Matlab/Simulink usage
