DRV8801: The difference between DRV8801PWP and DRV8801PWPR

Part Number: DRV8801

Hello,

What is the difference between the  DRV8801PWP and DRV8801PWPR?

When ordering ICs tru search, it will return the same IC with different codes. Is there a guide to reading those codes? (By code I mean suffixes after DRV8801 for example)

Best regards,

C.

  • Hello Can,

PWP is the package type. The PWP suffix means HTSSOP package. As far as our ordering options for this device, you can purchase a whole reel of the device, or just a section of tape. The PWPR option is a reel of 2000 units. The PWP option is only 90 units, and I think is just a tape.

Looking at the RTY options for this device (WQFN), DRV8801RTYR will come on a reel of 3000, and DRV8801RTYT is a tape of 250. All this information is at the end of the datasheet in the "Package Option Addendum."
