trapezodial 3 phase BLDC motor drive with DRV10983

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV11873, DRV10983, BOOSTXL-DRV8301, DRV10983EVM
Dear TI technical team;
I have a trapezodial motor and I would like DRV10983 because of great control options it has. However the DR V10983 is for sinusodial commutation, so my question is that whether I can use DRV10983 with a trapezodial motor? and if so, will I be loosing efficiency or generally are there any drawbacks? With DRV11873 which is a trapezodial type in DRV10x family, is there any reason why it does not have I2C communication and built in registers?Is there any trapezodial fully integrated driver chip with this I2C control option?
I am also interested in the EVAL boards, I have picked LAUNXL-F28027 F with BOOSTXL-DRV8301 (based on the  nominal voltage and current of my motor which are 15V and 1.5 amp respectively). Is this choice the best matching option in the EVAL board range?  What is the difference between the software that comes for free with this launchpad and Instaspin? should I buy instaspin seperately? Considering the nature of my motor ,which is trapezodial, is the chosen EVAL board appropriate?-whould it be better to go for "FOC" or "motion" for a trapezodial motor?
Thank you in advance
