DRV8301: Can it be using without SPI interface?

Hi!

I am quite early in my development phase and DRV8301 is appearing as a good candidate. I am trying to understand whether I can use DRV8301 without using its SPI interface? There is another integrated driver DRV8302 which is fully analog.Which one is best? I want to avoid SPI at this stage of development.

Hi Rohit,

Yes, the DRV8301 can be used without the SPI. But the SPI allows you to configure the device.

If you do not use the SPI, the DRV8302 is the better choice because you can configure some of the functions using hardware.
