DRV8301: Fault LED Always ON

What EVM are you using?
What lab are you trying to run?
Is this the first lab you have tried?
What is the DRV8301 voltage?
When the fault LED is lit, what are the AVDD, DVDD, and GVDD voltages?
Do you have a motor connected?

Hi Rick,

We are trying the Lab11 modified but that is not the issue because it worked properly until now.
The DRV8301 voltage is 12V
AVDD 0.74V
DVDD 0.02V
GVDD 0V
Yes, we have a motor connected but as I mentioned, this worked until a few hours.

Could you please also advice about the Switch 1 and 4 of Launchpad, we were debugging on CCS

Please try a simple debug procedure:
1) Disconnect the motor
2) Place 12V on the DRV8301 PVDD
3) Set EN_GATE to a logic high
4) Measure the AVDD, DVDD, and GVDD voltages

If the voltages are not ~6.5V, 3.3V, and 10.5V, there is a problem with the DRV8301.

What is the specific question about switch 1 and 4 of the Launchpad.

The values are 0 except for DVDD (but it is ~1V), and the Fault LED is ON. What do you think? We think the board is damaged.

About the switches, I would like to know the positions (ON_OFF). Also we wanted to try with an example on the launchpad TMS320F28027F but we could not load the programm, we have the next message:

Error connecting to the target: (Error -1015 @ 0x0) Device is not responding to the request. Device may be locked, or the debug probe connection may be unreliable. Unlock the device if possible (e.g. use wait in reset mode, and power-cycle the board). If error persists, confirm configuration and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 7.0.48.0)

Also since the DRV8301 board appears to be damaged, please separate the LaunchPad and try loading the program.

I already tried to load a programm with the boostxl disconnected, but I had the message of my previous reply. Even I tried with uniflash but without success.
