DRV8305-Q1EVM: replace to DRV83055 from DRV8305N

Hi

WE are going to evaluate DRV83055. And we will replace from DRV8305 to DRV83055 on DRV8305-Q1EVM.


However I think we need to modify some component to operate DRV83055 on EVM instead of DRV8305N. (Espacially, the components around VREG pin.)

For expample, the VREG is supplied by external LDO on the default EVM.
To replace to DRV83055, we need to remove the R34 which is series resistor of the path from 3.3V LDO as well.

Do you think is it correct? If it so, any other modified do we need?

    Hi Hamamoto-san,

    What is the goal of changing the device to DRV83055? There could be other issues that need addressing, such as the diode protection to VREG/VREF no longer protects the mcu.

    Thank you for your support.

    The goal is to evaluate and see just the operation after replacing to DRV83055 from DRV8305. Our customer prefer DRV83055 than DRV805. Because DRV83055 has internal LDO(VREG).

    Is there any changing for the external components we should if we replace to DRV83055?

    Also we have an issue that the interface (USB) does not connect. (The error message is the below)

    What is this error caused by?

    Please give any advice for this problem.
