Solenoid driver DRV102 cannot activate steady state

I want to use the DRV102 to drive a 24V 10Watt solenoid.

I can get a PWM output.

I tried grounding pin 2 of the device, it still produces a PWM.

Pin one operates as expected....   5v allows the device to operate and zero volts shuts the device output off.

    Your short descriptions looks okay. Have you tried more than one device? (We don't want to spend time troubleshoot a possibly damaged unit.) Also, if you could, please provide a schematic of your circuit. Have you deviated from the circuit shown in Figure 1 in any way?... D1 and D2 installed, etc?

    Thank you for responding Bruce....

    I see that you posted on Sept 30th.

    Strangely enough, I just was notified of the post today, October 31.    I have no idea why the delay occurred.

    I have gotten the driver to work.  I am puzzled by it's behaviour.  It works well enough for what I am doing.

    I may revisit this issue later.
