LM629: Difference between LM629N-6/NOPB and LM629M-6/NOPB?

Part Number: LM629

Hi Team,

My customer is using the LM629N-6/NOPB and since it is now in lifetime buy status, they'd like to know the suitable alternative.

I see online that we recommend the LM629M-6/NOPB as the alternative.

All I can see from the deadline is package change from 28 pins to 24 pins.

Would you please share what other differences are between these two packages so that I can pass them along to my customer?

Thanks!

Peter

  • Hi Peter,

The primary difference is the package and pinout. The M version is a SOIC package and the N version is a PDIP package.

Additional differences are the Moisture Sensitivity Level of the SOIC package (M is 3 -- 168 hrs, and N is 1 -- unlimited)
