DRV10983: Current boosted output

Part Number: DRV10983

The DRV10983 is such a nice part, but I need to control a brushless, sensorless motor with 24V@60A/Phase.  I was thinking of simply adding an H-bridge FET driver to each output and using that to drive some large FETs.  Secondarily, it would be very nice (but not mandatory)  if the circuit could do regenerative braking.  Can this part be made to work, or is there a better solution?

    Hello Charles,

    The DRV10983 can only do 3A(peak)/phase with its integrated FETs so it seems this device does not work for your application.

    I will notify someone who can speak for your potentional gate driver solution as this might fall somewhere in the DRV8x family of devices.
