DRV10970: Trapezoidal commutation

Hello,

Our customer use the DRV10970, with trapezoidal commutation.

The customer have a question about Table1 on the datasheet.

When it move from state1 to state2, the phase output of V move from

Hi-Z to Low and phase output of W move from Low to Hi-Z.

How about these sequence?

V W

Hi-Z Low

Low Low

Low Hi-Z

Hi-Z Low

Hi-Z Hi-Z

Low Hi-Z

Which is the sequence does the DRV10970 operate?

I'm not sure what the question is. As you stated when going from state 1 to state 2 phase V goes from Hi-Z to Low and phase W goes from Low to Hi-Z.

Are you asking about right at the transition?

The transition would look like the following where the green lines indicate PWM periods.
