DRV8305: EN_GATE reset pulse time

Dear all,

How long must I send EN_GATE reset pulse to clear fault state?

You mentioned that "To recover from a fault type error, the condition must be removed and the CLR_FLTs bit asserted in register 0x9, bit D1 or an EN_GATE reset pulse issued" at data sheet p.26.

However, pulse width time is not specified.

Could you teach us?

Hello Yamoto-san,

EN_GATE reset pulse is define as a rising edge on EN_GATE. Reset will occur within 1us of EN_GATE going high.
If EN_GATE was already high, it needs to be taken low for at least 1us before making it high for reset to occur.

How long maximum time to keep low before making it high for reset?

Yes the 1us includes margin.

-How long maximum time to keep low before making it high for reset?

There is no maximum time to keep EN_GATE low before high for a reset.

-Is this maximum time '1us'?

There is no maximum time for EN_GATE but minimum time only. Keep it low for at least 1us and then take it high for at least 1us for resetting of faults.
