DRV8412: DVDD and VDD power supply current

Part Number: DRV8412

Hello,

In the datasheet, there is a condition which is GVDD = VDD = 12 V, fSw = 400 kHz and IVDD=10.5(typ) and IGVDD_x = 8mA/half_bridge.

I think 12V power supply current will be 42.5mA(typ). Is my understanding correct.

when switching frequency is 500kHz, IGVDD_x will be increased. Is it roughly ok that 500k/400k x 8mA = 10mA/half-bridge?

Best regards,

Toshihiro Watanabe

    >>> Yes, your understanding is correct.

    >>> Yes, this is a good approximation. Please note the power supply current recommendations of section 8.2.1.2.2 of the datasheet.
