DRV8305: DRV8305 and SPI communications

Hi,

Working on SPI transfer, wondering what would be a good way to test the SPI read/write ?

What I mean here, while I am getting SPI communications to work with the chip, any good way of knowing what to expect from possibly a read action from the DRV8305 SPI register ?

Hi Manu,

It is recommended to perform a read of any register that has a non-zero default, such as registers 0x5, 0x6, or 0x7. Reading a non-zero register provides a good indication of proper operation.

Once a read is verified, write to one of the registers and then perform a read back to confirm the write is correct.
