DRV10970: Can the customer need to program for DRV10970

Hi team,

The customer needs to select a motor drive device that should be not programmed by himself, only 

be configured the registers. That is the device has integrated the algorithm.

I found DRV10970 and DRV10983. Can these two device meet the customer's requirement?

Do we have any other similar devices? 

Are all DRV10x family devices integrated the algorithm?

    Hello Mickey,

    Yes, the entire DRV10x portfolio has the algorithm control integrated in the device. In addition, the pre-driver, FETs, and protection is integrated as well.

    Depending on their intended supply voltage and output current or output power, they can narrow down their search for a specific device. I will also say the majority of the DRV10x portfolio is sensorless (no hall sensors, saves BOM cost and board space at cost of potential fastest start up). Only the sensored device we have is DRV10970 (20W, External Resistor Configurable). Otherwise, here's how we market the other devices:

    • 5V
      • DRV10963: 4W, Configurable through registers
      • DRV10964: 4W, Fixed Function
    • 12V
      • DRV10974: 12W, External Resistor configurable
      • DRV10975: 27W, Highly Configurable through registers
      • DRV10983-Q1: 27W, Highly Configurable through registers
    • 24V

      • DRV10983: 48W, Highly Configurable through registers
      • DRV10987: 54W, Highly Configurable through registers
