DRV8841: Shorting of the pins when in use

Hello,

I was testing the ic with Vm=24 volts by applying the load of 10.8 ohms and a load coil of 1.2ohms resisrance and 4.2 mH indutance with pwm applied at 50% duty cycle. While testing

I got only error ripples on dso. After checking the circuit it was found that pins in the power path were short circuited. Kindly suggest me some reason or solution.

(Note : Only one H-bridge was in usage and there are no other short circuits on the circuit board (PCB).

Hi Thorat,

Can you share the schematic and clarify your test conditions?

Does the load is a 10.8 ohms resistor series with a coil? and I'm confused about the "dso".

Hello,
Yes the effective load is (10.8+1.2) ohms and 4.2 mH . I am attaching the schematic of the circuit .
And the DSO is Digital Storage Oscilloscope a refined form of CRO.

Hi Thorat,

I'm sorry I can't find the schematic, can you attach again?
And can you also post on scope picture about error ripples? for example current or voltage?

I will check with the same load, then give your answer in few days.
