Hi

The output stage of DRV8838 is shown as below.

A FET of H-bridge has diode in parallel.

1.

Is it body diode?

Could it be functional like flywheel diode?

2.

Is there any other component that is not shown in this figure?

    Hello,

    1. Yes. it is body diode of FET. the body diode can be used as flywheel diode in H bridge or half bridge for inductive load.

    2. Yes. for example OCP circuit, this figure is a simple function block diagram.
