DRV101: solution confirm - solenoid application for 15V/1.5A

Part Number: DRV101

Hi expert,

My customer has a industrial application on industrial phone. There is phone slot on the docking and they want to use solenoid to implement authorization. They want to use DRV101 in their application. Do we have better solution on these case? Condition is here. V/I=15V/1.5A. If we need to know other conditions, please let me know and will give back to you, thanks!

    Hi Ann,

    The DRV101 should work for the application, but if you are looking for an alternative then the DRV103 could also fit here. Rather than using a BJT for the pulldown, the DRV103 uses a MOSFET. While the max voltage rating is lower, the current capability and leakages are lower.
