Is it valid OCP function when the motor starts up?

We require 1A output constantly, but 3A may be required when start up.

Can we use DRV8837C?

Hi na na78,

The DRV8837C is not suitable. The OCP can assert if the current exceed 1.2A for more than 1us.

If you need 3A at startup, please consider a different device. The DRV8848 can drive up to 4A in parallel mode. Other devices can be found here: www.ti.com/.../products.html
