hi,

Use the stepper motor driver chip DRV8825, use the mixed attenuation, the current is set to 2, 2A, drive a 1.5A stepper motor, use 24V voltage. As long as it is enabled, the motor will squeak, and if the CLK signal is sent, the motor will shake violently and the whistling sound will increase.

what's the sound of squeak? stepper motor can make sound by itself.

can you provide the motor information？if the step frequency is equal the motor natural frequency，motor will shake violently, you can change the microstep to decrease shake.

hi ,

Using other models such as the ON Semiconductor stk682 driver, the same controller and stepper motor, no similar sound.
What kind of situation will happen in general?
What should watch out for when grounding the driver?
What should watch out for in PCB design?
The driver board is my own drawing

Hi Eric,
stepper noise usually happen when the STEP frequency is equal the motor natural frequency, and over load current.
