DRV2700: DRV2700EVM SpyBiWire Adaptor

Hello,

On the DRV2700EVM user’s guide, page 15, it states; “The DRV2700EVM kit includes a JTAG-to-SpyBiWire adapter for connecting the JTAG interface to the DRV2700EVM SpyBiWire connector.” The guide does not mention any kind of adaptor in the kit contents; http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slou403

Is this referring to an adaptor that is attached to the actual board? I have a customer that is asking why the adaptor was not included with the kit.

Can you clarify this?

Hi Jim,

Thanks for pointing this out. I was not aware this statement was in that section. I will remove the statement since there is no JTAG-to-SpyBiWire adapter included in the kit.
Do they need an adapter for changing the firmware?

I imagine that they would need some kind of adaptor. I am working this through one of our distributors. It is their customer that is asking. Is there somewhere I can point them to get that?

Hi Jim,

You can find the schematic for the JTAG adapter here: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../JTAG_(MSP430)
The MSP430F5510 is used on our EVM, so you need the 2-wire interface for MSP430F5xx. I do not know if or where these can be purchased. Please ask the MSP430 team.
