DRV8844: Automotive qualified version & recommendation

There are no plans to have DRV8844 with automotive qualification.

What features of the DRV8844 do you need/want?

my customer actually needs a high-side switch to regulate current into the coil of a contactor.

• Switching frequency: 20kHz
• Accuracy < 1%
• Voltage range: 8V to 60V

As for DRV parts, I see DRV8844 as the only option up to 60V.
Is there something I am missing?

You are not missing anything.

Options are limited above 50V. One possible option is to use the DRV8702-Q1 or DRV8703-Q1 connected to automotive half bridge drivers to reach the higher voltage.

I checked, and 60V is actually abs max. Operating supply voltage is 40V.

However, that does not seem to help either.
Can you think of parts for this new specification?
