DRV8312: Leackage current of the DRV8312

Hello

We are using the DRV8312. In my board, the DRV8312 supply voltage is 12V, and the motor supply voltage is 24V.

I see that if I power the DRV8312 (turn on the 12V), and do not power on the 24V, I can see a voltage of 6.5V on the motor supply.

When activating the motor supply I do not see the 6.5V voltage, and I see the 24V OK.

Can there be some kind of leakage through the DRV8312?

While waiting, would you please record the voltages on the outputs in the condition GVDD/VDD is powered and PVDD is not?

Hello

On the device outputs I see 6.8V.

On the PVDD rail I see 6.4V.

Hi Oded,

I am unable to duplicate your observation.
What are the state of the inputs (PWM_x, RESET_x, etc.) when you have VDD/GVDD_x at 12V?
Are you powering VDD and GVDD_x separately?

I am seeing a small amount of leakage at the outputs (~640mV) and PVDD (~460mV). Adding a 10kOhm in parallel from PVDD to GND discharges the voltage depending on the RESET_x setting. When RESET_x is low the leakage path is evident. When RESET_x is high, there does not appear to be a leakage path.

Will try again once you provide your settings.
