DRV595: differences between DRV595 and DRV2511-Q1

Part Number: DRV595
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2511-Q1,

Hi, what are the differences between DRV595 and DRV2511-Q1 which is 10x cheaper? are the two parts compatible?

  • Hi Andres,

May I know more info about this application? Comparing to DRV595, DRV2411-Q1 can be used for automotive and support as high as 8A output current.

    Best regards,

  • Dear Shawn

    Thank you for your reply.

We want to drive peltier elements. As input voltage we are fixed to 24V. I was hoping, that we could use the DRV2511-Q1 with a L-C filter at the output, the same way the DRV595 is implemented in the evaluation boad DRV595EVM.

But the DRV2511-Q1 gives a repeated error at startup in the exact same electronic layout as for the DRV595. Do you have any ideas? From the datasheet, i think it should work. I like the DRV595 but it is to weak for our applications.

    Best regards,

    Andres

  • Hi Andres,
Thank you for your explanation. DRV595 is widely used in the peltier elements application and I can help your any issue on DRV595, but I'm sorry I'm not familiar with DRV2511. If you have any question on DRV2511-Q1, please post a new question in the forum with 'DRV2511-Q1' in the title and the device owner will give you professional answer. Thank you!
    Best regards,
