DRV8840: Glitch current

Hello,

Our customer use the DRV8840.

It occur the glitch current at start-up.

I attach the scope shot as below.

The glitch current is over 5A. But the duration of the glitch current less than 1us.

Is there a problem with reliability?

Hi Aoyama-san,

There should be no problem with reliability.

Assuming this is a brushed motor, this current is probably due to a capacitor being charged and discharged during the blanking time.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, as you said, the customer use a brushed motor and connect a capacitor to output pin.
I will feedback the customer there should be no problem with reliability.
