DRV8308: In case of VM=0V, SDATA, FGOUT, FAULTn, LOCK and Reset are connect to VCC with pull up resistor

Part Number: DRV8308

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask DRV8308?

In case of VM=0V, SDATA,  FGOUT, FAULTn, LOCK and Reset are connect to VCC=3.3V with pull up resistor as follows;

<Pull-up resistor>
SDATA : 33K
FGOUT : 33K
FAULTn : 33k
LOCK : 33K
RESET : 2.2K

Absolute maximum ratings of SDATA,  FGOUT, FAULTn, LOCK and Reset are -0,5V to 5.75V.
Therefore, it is no problem, right?
Just in case, their pins don't have diodes to Vcc, right?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hi Matsumoto-san,

    Three is no problem with the pins connected through pullup resistors to 3.3V and VM=0.

    We will confirm the inputs structures. A reply should be available by Friday.

  • Hi Matsumoto-san,

    Sorry for the delay.

    Our design team has been unavailable to answer the question. The new target date is Oct 18th.

    There is no problem.

    There will be current flow through the internal pulldown resistors (RESET and SDATAI) to GND.

    The pins do not have diodes to internal regulators.
