Hi Champs,

My customer is searching H-bridge motor driver with sufficient diagnostics for custom 3 phase High Power Blushless motor.

I would like to promote three DRV8702/3s for this application.

Attached material is operating requirement to driver the special motor.

Could you confimr DRV8702/3 could be controlled as customer's requirement?

Hi Wang-san,

As shonw attached material, customer wants to drive LS2 FET by PWM while HS1 100% ON.

According to Table 4, when LS2 set OFF, it looks HS2 has to be turned ON.

Could you check again if DRV8702/3 could satisfy customer's requirement?

FUJIHARA-san,

First, when HS1 is 100% ON and LS2 FET is on, the winding current goes from SH1 to SH2.

And then, HS1 keeps 100% ON and LS2 FET is off, the winding current will continue going from SH1 to SH2. The freewheel current will pass the HS2 anyway, no matter is on and off. If HS2 is on, the freewheel current goes through HS2 FET channel with lower Rds-on. If HS2 is off, the freewheel current goes through HS2 FET's body diode. I didn't see any problem here to set HS2 as PWM mode.
