DRV8323: how to test the OCP function in design

My customer is confusing about how to test the OCP function in design?

Can you help to suggest test method for OCP protection testing?

Which OCP function they plan to test on? SEN_OCP by shunt resistor or VDS_OCP?

The question is on system level of how the OCP will be sensed and reported?

Or how to check OCP actually works on a chip level?

Sorry for missing to mention, VDS OCP is what customer willing to test for.

On chip level, VDS_OCP trigger point is verified by AT. I am not seeing necessary for customer to test it.

On system level, customer can arrange over current events (overload, lock, short) to test OCP performance.
