Dear, Sir.

The datasheet described on once the watchdog fault occurred DRV8305-Q1 & gate driver are put

into a safe state. However, the detail of the safe state is not explained the detail .

I wonder the safe state means the Standby mode on Figure 16. Operating States?

Please give your advice.

Hi Sakai-san,

The safe state is detailed in Table 6 (Fault and Warning Operating Modes). When the MCU Watchdog Fault occurs, the gate drive outputs are pulled low, but the gate drive supply (charge pump) and internal logic stay enabled. The fault is indicated through SPI, PWRGD, and nFAULT.

I would like to make sure about the behavior of /FAULT output.
Please give your advice, again.
I think ;
When watchdog Fault occurred, /FAULT H=>L.
Keep L until Resister 0x9 bit1(CLR_FLTS) write to 1, then /FAULT L=>H.
I wonder my assumption is correct?
