DRV2605: quick test sequence

Part Number: DRV2605

Is there a quick sequence of i2c writes I could do to see if this part is functioning?  We'll get into programming for operation later.  I'm just trying to verify our new hardware.

Thank you

  • Hi, Eric,

You may try with the auto-calibration instructions of datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv2605.pdf#page=27

These instructions may be used as a step-by-step guide to configure a quick auto-calibration in the DRV2605. During the auto-calibration, you will see the actuator moving, so the DRV2605 may calculate the output parameters. It may help you to verify if everything is working without digging into the whole registers programming.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
