DRV120: 8-pin vs 14-pin?

Part Number: DRV120

I want to drive a 12V solenoid using the DRV120. I want to know how to choose 8-pin vs 14-pin? What factors will I be looking at to consider one of the above?

My circuit potentially will drive a 12V solenoid on a 24-V supply rail.

Hi Ruby,

Depends on Ihold current needed. If the solenoid Ihold=50mA, the 8 pin is good enough.
The 14pin Ihold can be adjusted 33mA to 100mA with external resistor.
Also the 14pin has a dedicated output to monitor the temp and under voltage fault status.
