DRV2605: Which driver to use for Linear Wideband Actuator

Part Number: DRV2605
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2624, DRV8601

I am trying to drive a Lofelt Linear Wideband Actuator. What is the best Ti driver to use to output discrete pulses from 1 to 100 HZ?

Thanks

  • Hello, Craig,

Unfortunately, we don't have devices capable to drive a Wideband Actuator at those frequencies by itself. The most approached device is the DRV2624, which supports LRA frequencies from 45Hz to 300Hz.

In addition, you may try with the DRV8601. This is a single haptic driver that generates the driving frequency from an external PWM signal.

For more information, please take a look at our Actuator Drivers Folder: www.ti.com/.../actuators.html

    Best regards,
