DRV8702-Q1: Doubt in nSLEEP pin

Hi,

regarding the nSLEEP pin, is it necessary to pull it up for the driver to work, or it works by default? The datasheet says "The DRV870x-Q1 device is active unless the nSLEEP pin is brought low" so it seems the second is true, but I just wanted to be sure.

What I mean is whether I need to connect a voltage source (5 V for instance) to nSLEEP to activate the driver.

Yes. Connecting a voltage source (5 V for instance) to nSLEEP to activate the part.
nSLEEP pin: Device sleep mode. Pull this pin to logic low to put device into a low-power sleep mode with the FETs in high impedance (Hi-Z). This pin is connected to an internal pull-down resistor.
