Hello TI Team,

while searching about the BLDC motor driver, I came across the Evaluation board of DRV8353.

is the program already embedded in to the evaluation board or should we program it?

which software should we use incase we have to program it. can i get some details of it?

also i want to know whether it can withstand our motor ratings not. please find the ratings of the motor below:

Motor 1: P rated - 3kW; I rated - 72A; I peak - 150A, Vin - 48V

Motor 2: P rated - 3kW; I rated - 50A; I peak - 150A-200A, Vin - 72V

Motor 3: P rated - 10kW; I rated - 300A; I peak - 900A, Vin - 48V

Divya,

Yes the DRV8353 can be used for your motors mentioned above. The EVM itself is not built to withstand the power listed but your own board could be built this way.

The DRV8353 has no programming itself. The EVM board that contains the device uses a C2000 or MSP430 MCU which has code already written, this code is available for your use and modification.

thanks sir for the response.
may i know till what power rating the evaluation board can be used?

and what about the programming part?
should we write our own code or already the code is embedded in to that evaluation board?

I don't have an exact figure but I wouldn't expect more than 1kW from the EVM.
