Hi,

Customer would like to control DRV8353Rs-EVM as sensored type.

J3 is modified for hall sensor input.

Can I still use GUI for this sensored type control?

With this setting, GUI didn't work for it.

With sensor-less setting, it worked well.

Condition is 1 PWM mode and 48V input.

Could you advise for this problem?

David,

The GUI is designed only for FOC control. When the 1x PWM mode is used, the C2000 is not needed or available. Please use a function generator or other MCU to input the single PWM needed.

Can you explain the issues with the GUI?

Hi Adam,

Once power on EVM with 24V power supply, Fault LED turns on.
In the GUI, it's GDUV fault. It's same under 48V supply.
I checked CLR_FLT bit but it's not cleared.

I set it 1PWM mode through GUI and probe INHA pin but there is no PWM from 28027.
Under this condition, GHx output is high and GLx output is low.

How can I clear fault?

The 28027 cannot be used for this purpose.
