Hi,

I am working on DRV8343-Q1 and want to set this device to drive BLDC motor.

I have try to send some SPI command and configure it but not able to operate device.

Presently I am working on home made board, In which I have connected LED on output of driver for indication (GLB, GLC).

If I put current sense open will it affect functionality of hardware.

Can someone share minimum hardware configuration required to operate this device with SPI command.

HI,
Can you please check SDO, SDI, SCLK, nSCS and VSDO with an oscilloscope? you do not need to have the sense amps connected to anything. You must enable the device and you have to power VM.

Thanks for reverting,

Today I try, my C channel of IC working without any SPI configuration, but do't understand why other channel A and B is not working.

Do SPI configuration required to generate output PWM or can I simply input PWM to get output.

Do I have to connect load on each channel to get output.

Hi,
Can you post the schematic? SPI configuration s are not required to generate output PWM. You should not have to load each channel to see each channels output.

can you check the status of the nFAULT pin? Did you check the SPI pins with a oscilloscope to verify that the signals are valid?

Yes, I am trying to drive it without using SPI command, but output is not as accepted.

Can you please share some doc regarding how to operate BLDC motor using DRV

The best document on how to operate a BLDC with this device is the datasheet. Can you share a schematic so that I can better help you debug this issue?

Hi,

you can refer above circuit

Problem that I am facing, when I connect all output pins of controller to DRV pins it's do't work, but If I take two input pins of DRV and try to controller it using controller pins then I can easily able to change output of every leg of bridge independently.

but it's is not requirement I have to controller latest two legs to operate motor.

Hi,
What do you mean by do't work. Will the motor not spin? are the half bridges not working? What mode are you using the device in? 6x PWM Mode, 3 x PWM Mode, 1x PWM Mode, Independent Half-Bridge PWM Mode, Independent MOSFET Drive Mode? What 2 pins were you connecting to when it was working?

I am using 6x PWM mode which is default configuration.

Are you seeing any faults on the device when you are trying to drive all the gates at the same time? what FETs are you trying to drive? The FETs might have a too large gate charge for this device.

Do I have to drive all FET simultaneously, I am only trying to drive only two FET at same time.

No you do not need to drive all FETs simultaneously, can you post your schematic so that I can better understand your application and see if there is anything wrong with it?
