he optocoupler input is full wave rectified AC and not DC. With increase in amplitude the current increases in optocoupler. As the triac fires at different phase, a PWM signal is generated accordingly at the output of optocoupler.

To learn more about the coupler used, please refer to www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00652 . The actual part used for the optocoupler is www.vishay.com/.../tsop311.pdf .

Hi.

Thanks for ur reply. actually i implement the circuit. bur every time r2 resistance burned. i used 2w resistance. may i know the reason for this issue
