Hi,

May I know what precautions does it take to design a printer driver board for DRV8711 vm from 8V to 24V?

    Hi Annie,

    There are a few precautions:

    Proper thermal connection is important. Please refer to the DRV8711EVM as an example layout.

    The bulk capacitor must be large enough to prevent voltage drops below the operating voltage of 8V.

    Also, consider adding a 0 Ohm resistor as a footprint in series between the low side output and low side gate. Please refer to the section 8.1.2 of the datasheet for details.
