DRV10987: About linear mode

Hello support team,

(1) The current range is 5 mA in linear mode using step-down regulator with resister.
I think this current is amount of I(VREG), I(V3P3) and I(V1P8).
In other words, I think that it is recommended to use the total of these currents at 5 mA or less.
Is my understanding correct?

(2) Does the 5 mA of current in above (1) include the internal current of the IC?

(3) Specification of the EEPROM retention is 10 years at minimum. but how good is it?
How long is the actual capability of retention?
Of course I understand that there is no warranty for more than 10 years.

    1) For V3P3 and Vreg, please refer to the following datasheet snippet below. For V1P8, it is not meant to have a load as shown in the datasheet snippet below.

    2) It doesnt include the internal current

    3) Let me check on the eeprom retention.

    Thank you for your reply.
    Just in case, let me ask some additional question.

    The reason that I thought the total current of VREG, V3P3 and V1P8 should be less than 5 mA has the following meaning.

    When operating the step-down converter in linear mode, to obtain the desired VREG voltage:
    -If 5 mA of current is loaded on V3P3 LDO, no longer current should be supplied from VREG terminal. In addition, no current should be supplied from the V1P8 LDO as well?
    -If 5 mA of current is loaded on VREG, no current should be supplied from V3P3 LDO, and V1P8 LDO.
    -If 5 mA of current is loaded on V1P8 LDO, no current should be supplied from VREG and V1P8 LDO.

    Is my understanding correct?

    I need to verify this or if it is that the max current overall shouldnt exceed 5mA or if it is as you stated. Regardless, V1p8 is not meant to have an external load and this you should draw any current externally from it.

    I have verified that the total external current draw from V3P3 and Vreg shouldnt be more than 5mA when operating in linear mode.
    As stated before, V1p8 is not meant to have an external load and this you should draw any current externally from it.
