DRV2510-Q1: Failure every 2 seconds

Do you have the information of the data in registers 0x00 and 0x02 before and after the dc motor fails? Could you also share the dc motor parameters or datasheet? Do you see some changes on VDD or EN pins when this problem arrives?

Thanks for your quick answer. Below there are the registers values, before and after to the fail.

BEFORE:

0x00 = 0x04

0x01 = 0x00 0x40 (some time I got 0x40 here, but is a dont care bit)

0x02 = 0x80

0x03 = 0x78

AFTER:

0x00 = 0x04

0x01 = 0x00 (some times I got 0x40 here, but is a dont care bit)

0x02 = 0x20

0x03 = 0x78

The signal at INTZ it's almost a perfect 2 second period square wave.

I have the standby pin pulled down to gnd (I dont use it), and the EN is (controlled by the uC) pulled high.

There are the recommended boostrap capacitors as well the snubber.

The single one difference I found is that I'm not driving a solenoid but a dc motor.

Regarding the information that you provided, it seems that the device is marking a failure but it is not described in the registers.

In order to have a better approach to this issue, could you provide your circuit schematic and dc motor details? You may share this information to me via E2E in case you don't want to post it in a public forum.

Hi Luis,

Here you are the schematics. There is no mystery there. The intz pin has not pull up, but I'm configuring the input pin of the mcu with it. VIN_F1 comes from a 12V source

I did a double check of components and signals... All seems to be ok, so I'm thinking in replace the chip, but I wold like any clue first.

I have not datasheet from the dc motor, but it's a quite common one. Also, the fail occurs with any load.

I have measured the basics parameters of the dc motor. It has 0,5A at 12V and nominal speed.
