DRV8885: MIN and MAX Value of Internal Pulldown Resistance of EN Pin

Hi, Team

My communication customer is using DRV8824 to drive stepper motor in RCU of Antenna. They want to upgrade DRV8824 to DRV8885. DRV8824 EN is active low, but DRV8885 EN is active high. As customer do not want to modify the software of current MCU platform, customer add a transistor circuit to invert the signal.

Customer want to get the MIN and MAX value of Internal Pulldown Resistance of EN pin. So they can select a suitable value of R1. But there is only typical value in datasheet.

Could you share the MIN and MAX Value of Internal Pulldown Resistance of EN Pin?

Hi Kevin,

The maximum pulldown resistor is not as important as the minimum pulldown resistor.

The minimum internal pulldown resistor can be as low as 50kOhm. This information is available in the electrical characteristics. Iih current is listed as 100uA maximum, which translates to a 50kOhm resistor.
