Part Number: DRV8332

I am using DRV-8332 PSOP3 DKD package for my BLDC motor control application. I am designing a 2 layer pcb.

Please suggest suitable heat sink for the DRV-8332 PSSOP DKD package.

I have attached the heat sink design available in ref. design, Can I use the same for my design.

Yes as long as you maintain the design considerations of the reference design then that heatsink is suggested.

Thanks for the information.

Since I am designing for the first time. The dimensions of DRV8332 is 15.90mm × 11.00mm. Any separate heatsink is required specifically for the IC itself?

Designed pcb is of 2 layer.

Kindly suggest.

Robo,

That heatsink you showed is correct, the Z height of the heatsink IC area is 3.5mm while the IC itself is MAX of 3.6mm. The X and Y size is less important than the Z.
