Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54160
Team,
My customer is has questions I hope you can help with:
I am using two of the DRV8301 parts in my design as motor drivers as well as to produce 5V and 3.3V. The part is producing the 5V but is only producing about 1.65V on the 3.3V rail. Here are my observations:
- The feedback voltage for the 3.3V (1.65V) is reaching .4V while the 5V is reaching .8V on the feedback line.
- No oscillatory behavior on the rail.
- EN_BUCK is high
- Input voltage is 30V
- Injecting an external 3.3V to the bus causes it to draw a nominal 100mA or less which implies the bus is not shorted.
- The compensation circuit is identical to the reference design.
- PWR GOOD is low
What could be happening?
Could there be some interference between both the 5V or 3.3V supplies?
Thanks
Viktorija
